Designer Labels for $1

What do Eddie Bauer, Liz Claiborne, Apt.9,  Donna Karan and Eddie Bauer have in common? They are all frequent visitors in my closet. Their clothes always have a parking spot in my closet. Tuesday is a fabulous day in my book because it always means I can bring home plenty of designer clothes for pennies on the dollar.

Check out the new sweater I bought for my mom. $1.00 Cha-Ching !!!

Let's hope she likes her new Eddie Bauer sweater too. Just $1.00

I also found this

Isn't it adorable? I know these would look so much better modeled by a human but
I couldn't persuade her to pose for the camera. You know I couldn't take pictures of myself.

In all I spent $72.00 + tax for 72 designer items. You heard me right. Most of these still had the tags and extra buttons on. I quit being a clothing snob and checked out one major thrift store in town and found out they have some of the most fabulous items ever. The store wasn't in an upscale area, in fact it is in a rather poor area. Sometimes you have to go to the other side of town and it's so worth it. The people were fabulous. I plan on spending lots of time there in the future.

I encourage you all to take a trip to your local thrift shops and goodwill. Now I know some of them are living in a dream world with their prices but I focus on one store and one sale and I always cash in. The very best thing is that all the money goes to charity. I love it!

Happy Thrift Shopping,

I was able to fill up a bag today full of kids clothes for $10.00 at a thrift store(Hab. for Hum.) I came home and counted--28 items. Thats about 35 cents a piece! Yay for me! Many dresses, name brand clothing! One new Gymboree onesie that still had the tags on it saying $9.99!

  12. Visiting from Blog Frog too. I shop Goodwill and a sweet little shop around the corner from my house Last Chance Thrift Shop. I love it there. Plenty of great oldies playing to make it even more fun. Last year I fit the motherload of leather coats and jackets for less than $8 each...including some great designer names. I had a booth in an antique mall and sold some of the vintage pieces there. You never find me at the mall shopping. Glad we met on Blog Frog. Now tell me about the little dog! Barbara

  13. Eloise is my little Manchester Terrier. One day before Christmas a year and a half ago I had this overwhelming urge to stop by our local pound. I looked around and asked if they had any little dogs. They said yes and they put her in with the cats because she was so cold and she would have been put down. I fell in love instantly and said no she is coming home with me and the rest is history. She had asthma and many bouts of kennel cough but she is my constant companion an loves everybody. She is such a joy God just meant for her to be with me. Thanks for stopping by I hope you come back soon.
