GRRR!!!!!!!!! You asked Me To Post It Full Cuppers So Here It Is

Round and round we go. Mission simple. Go to Walgreens with grandma's list and pick up my bic bogo razors and go home to beat storm. Problem #1 Richard aka: asst. manager ( we can't cover the coupon for the face value amount) Me: Why not it says value up to 6.99 Richard: Only one coupon per purchase Me: One set of razors is a purchase the coupon doesn't say transaction. Richard: Me: Let's call the manager to clarify Richard: I am the manager Me: your tag says assistant manager 4 customers in line behind me: She's right!!!!! Richard Me: Let's call the corporate office Richard: Me: Richard: Ok I can sell you one and then the others will be free. Me Ditch Richard and find another manager New Manager: Let's not bother with the corporate office, they will tell me to do it.
Me: Richard:

Mission Accomplished

************ Note to self ***********

Call Corporate office to tell Walgreens not to hire managers who don't know the difference between a purchase and transaction

Free Movies

For those of you who don't know Blockbuster Express is popping up all over town. It's so crazy that when I was in Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market the other day Redbox painted their kiosk blue. I did a double take and said Cute Couponer says what? That's right some of the Redbox kiosks are indeed blue. Don't let this confuse you. Not only can you find free Redbox codes all over town but now almost every gas station I have been to in OKC has free Blockbuster Code Coupons. I have the feeling we'll be watching lots of movies in the future.

***note to self need to stock up on popcorn***

In the meantime, next time you are in a gas station especially the ones by Wal-Mart, check and see about the coupons. They are free. Pick up a few you can use the same code multiple times per family. Remember just use a different check card each time.

Good Friends, Good Food, Good Fun, Good Shopping

There is nothing better in the world than having good friends and especially good friends who love to shop. My friend Teresa and I actually met while couponing at CVS and now shop together on a regular basis. If you want to stick with couponing try to find a buddy who will do it with you. It's kind of like excercise you need the friend for the motivation.

I wanted to introduce two of my dearest friends to you, Niki and Eric.

Eric loves to cook

They invited me over for dinner the other night and this is what they made me.

OOO Wee~~~~

and then came this

                                              Isn't Niki a "Greek Goddess"?

It is so nice to for me the shopper and the cook to get such a wonderful treat like this!!!!!

Now I have some major grocery shopping to do tommorrow. The coupon gods finally heard   my prayers. Tommorrow I am going to show you what I found at Crest the other day and the sale that is going on until a week from Monday and then I am also going to hit Homeland twice. First the regular sale and then the three day sale.

In the meantime, call your friends and invite them over dinner and sign up a buddy to coupon with.

                      Happy Eating!!!!

Spring Has Arrived At Wal-Mart & Target

I can't even begin to tell you how long I have been waiting for Spring to arrive. I'm going green or as close to it as I can so check out these $1.00 plastic cups and plates I found at select Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market Stores. Better hurry these things don't last long.

I strolled on over to Target and found killer deals on 12 packs of washcloths for $2.50. While I was there I picked up another roll of clearance Valentine's wrapping paper for .19 a package. If you remember Tupperware than you will appreciate the plate bowl. Works like a plate looks like a bowl. I bought four 2 packs for 1.99 a package. They had matching cups but I bought just the little green glasses for 1.99 a 6 pack. Tupperware wants $20.00 a package my savings is 90%.

Now remember those coveted Scotch 4.00 off  Scotch Fur Fighter starter pack coupons and the $1.50 off the refill coupons that were out on Monday ? They came in real handy. I bought 2 starter packs and 4 refills. They were absolutely free. I only paid tax at 1.37.
(They were on an endcap by the make-up not near the regular ones on the shelf.)

Last but not least aren't these colorful cups adorable! I found them at Target for 1.99 a 4 pack. They too are like the Tupperware ones without the liquid in the case that you can freeze. Tupperware price $20.00 Target $1.99 Savings 90%

Happy Spring to You and to Me

Valerie's Valentine Clearance

Woo Hoo the pictures are in.

Remember how I was griping last week about the stores having like nothing on sale after Valentine's Day for a decent price?  Monday I finally got over it and look what I found. Plastic plates for .37 a piece (these will work all Spring) Colorful plastic cups 4 packs at .37 a package (will work all Summer long) and you know I was in heaven when I found the most fabulous  frosted sugar cookie and icing mix for .75 a package. It makes 24. I know we are not to clear the shelf but all is fair in love and sugar cookies! I bought all 18.

If you really want to have some fun stroll to the lingerie section at Wally World (aka Wal-Mart Super Center) and look at all the cotton nightgowns with hearts on them. Pick them up and head over to the scanner. They are not marked but ringing up at $2.50 a piece. (Can I get a Cha-Ching Cha-Ching ?)

Now my favorite of all. Hot pink Plastic Tablecloths for .19 a piece. I use one all Spring. I don't have to buy them again for 5 years. How cool is that?

Finally back to my beloved Target. I bought all those window clings for .10 a piece. While I was there  I also found these adorable baby shirts on an end cap that will work perfect for my munchkins that say "Puppy Love" for .50 a piece. 2 more rolls of Valentine's Wrapping Paper at .19 a piece and the must adorable shirt for my baby "Eloise" for a quarter.

I love Target and Target loves Me.

Now toss back a few cosmos and run don't walk to Wal-Mart and Target and cash in.

Walgreens 7 Days of Photos

While we are waiting on all my pictures to be moved over I wanted to tell you about the special deals going on at Walgreens all this week. If you have any of those disposable cameras or now "old-fashioned" rolls of film pack them up and head to the drug store for a .99 deal of your life. Today only they can develop the rolls for .99 a piece, even though it says one roll only, (my Walgreens was super nice). Then tell them not to cut the pictures and take the negatives and go to Best Buy and have them load all of them onto a CD for one price. How crazy is that. My manager at my Walgreens is the one who told me how to do it. Without the sale it would be fifteen dollars a camera or roll of film. I am taking 15 cameras. How crazy is that.

                                 Happy Photo Day

So Much to Do , So Little Time

I have so much to tell you and so much to do. As promised my friend will be back next week and I am going to get  a lesson in hooking the camera to the computer and adding pictures quickly. This way I can show you my shopping trips the same day I do them. Sales are kind of blah here right now so let's pray to the coupon gods that they will send some sales our way.

On a side note, you know how I totally bashed CVS last week? I totally love their machine as of today so go, go, go scan your cards the machine spit out $5 off of $15 it loves me.  I'm  thinking of playing the lottery.

In the meantime, by the end of this weekend I am planning on having a clean house, clean car, complete blog, clean dogs, and of course lot's of shopping. I will check back tommorrow.

No I haven't forgotten adding the Walgreens and CVS for Foodstampers it's still coming  soon!!!

Seafood Alfredo Mushroom Ravioli / Stockpile Cooking Part II

Have you ever had one of those days where nothing sounds good?  That's how I was feeling Monday  night. So off I went online to find something to hmmm wet my whistle. I found a super yummy alfredo sauce.

With a little ingenuity I came up with the  Most Fab Recipe

                                   Seafood Alfredo Mushroom Ravioli

                                   1 C Whipping Cream
                                   1/4 C Butter
                                   1 Egg

Cook until hot enough to melt 1/2 C. Parmesan Cheese

( the  sauce is courtesy of cooks.com )

Here comes the fun part ...

I cut up 1 package of imitation crab meat that was free last week at Homeland and I  also found 4 packages  of mushroom ravioli on clearance for $1.00 last week at Homeland and Voila

                 Simply Spectacular...

Add some white pepper and it is heaven in your mouth

Here is the breakdown on price

                            3 pkg.'s whipping cream 3/$1
1 pkg. imitation crab meat free
                            2 pkg.'s mushroom ravioli 2/$2
                            1 C. parm. cheese ( I doubled the recipe) $1.00
                                                               = $3.66 for 8 servings

***** I will picture it  later**************

Valentine's Clearance or is it ?

So I can't tell you how jazzed  I have been for the last few weeks about after Valentine's Day shopping. I need to so score some sweets for the house. Literally, I have been torturing my family with no sweets for weeks now. Obviously it so wasn't meant to be at first. I covered CVS, Wal-Mart, Target, Dollar G, Walgreens, and  Hobby Lobby and I was so very very sad. I scored a few deals that I will picture later this week. Now I will hit the stores later this week and cash in on the super clearance. In the meantime, I want you to meet my very own Valentine.

                                                   ( Mommy  I Need A Haircut !)

Isn't she so cute !!!!!!!! I always wanted a Valentine on Valentine's Day so she will forever be my Valentine!!!!!!!!

Tommorrow, I have the most yummy recipe for seafood alfredo to share with you and it only cost me $4.00!!!

Happy Monday      ( I have lots of shopping to do this week)

Trying Out New Stores

So, last week I decided to try out a new store. It happens to be the only store other than Homeland that  doubles coupons in Oklahoma City. They do unlimited 50 cent doubles all day everyday. I also wanted to see if they had any decent meat. One thing about the stores here, it is very hard to find good quality meat.

So here are the results of my shopping experience.

Dole Salads at $1 each (not the greatest)
The Best Boneless Beef Roasts I have ever eaten at 1.991b
Boneless Chicken Breast at 1.591b
Lots of canned veggies at .49 cents a piece
and a discount on my favorite seasoning Cavenders (they don't ever put out coupons)

Now yes  I know I used no coupons but still great prices for a beginner

I also stopped by Crest for a few sale items check out what I found
they are having their annual anniversary sale

( sorry these pictures won't rotate)

                 Kraft Cheese 1.25 a piece
                 Cheetos at 1.00 a piece
Canned Tomatoes at .49 a can
                 Red Baron Pizza 2/$5
Vlasic Pickles at 1.35 a piece
                 Donuts at 1.50 a package
                 Yogurt for 4/$1
Large Packages of Skinner Spaghetti for .69 a piece
Betty Crocker Brownie Pack at .49 a piece
                  Roma Tomatoes 3/$1

Once again I didn't use coupons but still decent deals. However, I am going to start setting a max that I will pay for certain items.

One thing I have learned is it never hurts to give new stores a try.

I will definitely return to Eley's to get more roast!!!!! Yum, yum, yummy

Stockpile Photos

I thought you might like to see what my new stockpile looks like after only one month of couponing.

This is our garage and the garage fridge. Our pile is spilling over onto the dryer.

It's also spilling over onto our kitchen counter. Please excuse the mess on the stove I was so thankful to get the camera to work I was just going with it.

Yes my Christmas Decor is on the kitchen counter too.

This is the extra closet that holds all of our file stuff jammed full of chips and pop.

Fridge #1
( sorry, I have no idea how to rotate this photo)

Freezer #1

Freezer #2
All this was done in 1 month!

Usually at the end of the month we only had odds and ends left now we have all this left and money leftover too.

Now you can see for yourself does couponing work?

Hmmm....
I'm living proof.

Attention All CVS Shoppers Go Home and Go Back to Bed

Have you ever had one of those days where no matter how hard you try absolutely nothing goes right? That was my day today. I had one of those tie-up loose ends in the world of couponing days. My goal was so simple, go down grocery row and complete my incredibly simple list. Go to CVS and pick up 15 Dawn Hand Renewals and save mega bucks, return to Crest to pick up my Craisins I didn't make it home with yesterday, and then  go to Homeland to get gas and see if any of the items on my rainchecks have come in and then possibly Wal-Mart neighborhood market. Well not only did mother nature my friends have a different plan but, what a surprise, so did CVS. This is the 2nd of CVS stores in my area that literally are "straight from the boughs of hell." That's right. Clerks that ignore you and argue with you, idiotic assistant managers, and store managers that violate company policies and make up their own rules.

Yes friends that was my day today. Wanna know the best part I lost all my coupons I was going to use at Homeland and then lost my card to pay for it with.

Do you think God is sending me a message to go home and go to bed. I think so.

So 1/2 hour after my nightmare experience at CVS of not being issued a raincheck for more than 2 items that had no limit and no ECB's the corporate office called them and told them they had to.

Yes my friends since starting couponing not quite 6 weeks ago I can't tell you how many times I have had to call corporate offices and managers to just get through a simple transaction.

Now if my freezers weren't full and shelves weren't packed and  us  having food left over at the end of the month I don't know if I would stick with this coupon thing.

But then the super smart, incredibly determined women  who knows some jerks in the world need a good
kick in the --- remembers her momma didn't raise no fool.

So Attention Coupon World and Store Managers Everywhere

            WATCH OUT HERE COMES VALERIE
and my terrible, horrible, no good, very bad days are ending.

Foodstamps and Free Items

Alrighty so the government is giving you a minimum amount of money to pay for food for you and your family and of course only the government would come up with the idiotic idea of food stamps not covering free items. So I know free is not really free because you are really paying tax on the face value of the coupon but the food stamp card is not going to cover it. Here is an example, Kraft Cheese at .99 cents a package and you have a coupon for buy two Kraft cheeses get a $1.00 off , Your coupon doubles making it $2.00 (no you aren't getting the overage) and there is still .09 cents owed for the tax on the coupon. Swipe your ebt card and no go. That's because DHS won't let you use your card for free items. Come up with the .09 cents or put it back. Now if you are in a tax free state than I know this won't apply to you. Happy Foodstamping.
